Swatchee Project II

claoth
Variegated Verge

This neutral colored skirt is my own design.  It's made of a beautifully draping Pendleton wool with baby wale corduroy swatchees as part of the pleating.  I wanted something asymmetrical, but nothing too distracting from the variegated verge.

  1. Um...no kidding!
I had actually been speaking of your dresses in particular. They are darling! And so creative. In fact, I had googled "shabby apple design" and saw your two cute dresses before they had picked the top 15 and figured I didn't stand a chance. I can't believe they weren't chosen. The only thing I can figure is that they were too expensive to make so they didn't choose them. You are such a clever seamstress.

  2. Oh my goodness Katy this one rivals float for me and that is saying something because float knocked my socks off!

  3. Oooh, Ashley, float, eh? I was really wish-washy on this one and asked several opinions until I decided I did like as is.

Danielle-thank you for your kind words. I was bummed I didn't get in the top 15, too. I will console myself with your thoughts they were just to costly to produce--thanks.

  6. Do you need more swatchees? Fantastic. What is on the side of the skirt?

  7. Dad-I am missing the insert on my tripod, but will post a picture as soon as I get it.

Mom-The side has a smaller ruffle in the seam out of the same wool. YES! I'd love more swatchees! (Unless you're going to use yours for something..)
